Ruger LC9 Holster Fit

Has anyone tried to fit an LC9 to a Safariland 527-53 holster or a G&G 891-K40 holster yet? The Safariland size 53 and G&G K40 seem to run through the line of a lot of similar pistols, maybe not in length, but in width and trigger guard placement/shape.
 
Why not get the correct holster for the gun. There is a seller on eBay that has some nice ones. Just do a seller search for shootist274
 
Shootist274 does not appear to have any items for sale. The LC9 is very new and none of the major holster makers have made one specifically for it nor have they assigned a current holster size as one that fits.

Opps, apparently he does. Will give it a look.

While those High Noon holsters are OK - in fact, actually quite good - for what they are, it should be noted that they are soft glove leather, and probably are already-existing holsters for guns of the same general size. It may be a little while before anyone starts making fitted holsters for such a new gun.
 
I didn't like the idea behind this gun by just reading about it. I wasn't interested in the safety, mag safety, and load indicator. But I wanted to handle and fire one before completely ditching it. Finally found one in a local shop for $350 the other day. Brought it home and wore it around the house for an entire day and loved how it carried. Then, I put 50 rounds through it at the range today and I'm surprised at the recoil. I suspected the trigger would be pretty much like the LCP and it is. But the recoil was way more manageable than I thought it would be. This is actually a great carry gun. It fits in my shorts pocket, on my hip, and will work great in a coat pocket in winter. I can hit my 8-inch steel target at 25 yards with it in spite of the long trigger pull (not on every shot, but about 5 out of 8 rounds).
 
Watch the videos of Hickok45 on the Lc9 and you will be amazed about the little 9mm.
 
I didn't drag up this old thread, and hopefully the OP has found a holster for his LC9 by now.

This statement is not completely true. High Noon does have a line of holsters (all IWB models) that are made of "soft glove leather". These are generally listed among their "stocking items" and can be had very quickly and are rather inexpensive.

However, they also have other holsters in their line-up that are wet-molded just like all the other major custom holster makers. These are quite a bit more expensive and generally will take longer to deliver. CZF has pictures of a few of those models in his post.

Don't get confused when looking at High Noon holsters, they have a larger range of holsters, from the inexpensive quick ship models to rather expensive horsehide models, than most makers. You need to make sure you are comparing apples to apples when talking about High Noon holsters and other holster makers.
