Good little rifles. Only problem is, with leverguns available chambered in .44mag that hold 8-10 shots and at a lower price, its hard to justify the Ruger's price tag ($600-$700). About the only reason to go Ruger would be the ease of scoping the rifle.

I have the 77/357. Gonna shoot it for the first time Wednesday. I have detail stripped it and cleaned every nook and cranny. Very well made. Reminds me of an old, well made Mauser in terms of how sturdy and simple it all is (this is my first Ruger bolt action). The shooting will tell. I plan on putting an NECG peep sight on it and a Firesight fibre optic front sight.
