I have a 1970's made Ruger mk I pistol. Is it okay to fire CCI Stingers and Velocitors or any other premium .22 ammo out of?

Thanks

MC

Yes but over time you may have to replace the springs, though this has not been the issue with my dad's mark 1. Fired a lot of CCI stingers and Remington yellow jackets through it.

Velocitors and stingers are known as hyper velocity rather than premium ammo. No big thing to use any modern 22lr in a Ruger. Old Woodsmen and High Standards of the first editions were for standard velocity but that is another story.

You won't hurt a thing. I like the Velocitors, 40 gr cup point at over 1400 fps.
