I own both and my MKIII's have been converted to MKII's using Clark and Volquartzen parts The LCI indicator is absolutely never created any problems at all. Actually the MKIII's offer more sight, and a greater variety of barrel options, in my opinion. I wouldn't sell my MKII, but I also don't think it will ever make me rich when I sell it.

I enjoy rimfire handguns and have Swiss Hämmerlis, Walther PP ZM, a Korth, a S&W K22 and two MkIIs. The Ruger MkII is a good gun and represents an excellent value in the lower price segment.

Absolutely. For the money the Ruger MK II was an extremely accurate pistol. I have three old bull barreled MK IIs and will never sell them. I used to use them in NRA classes for teaching beginners and everyone loved them. We used to run steel matches for rimfire pistols and the Rugers were always cleaning up at the prize table. You can pretty much learn everything you need to know about shooting a pistol with a MK II for very little money.
