I recently purchased 2 new Ruger stainless 10 round OEM magazines. The problem I'm having is the followers are sticking on the feed lips. The followers on my blued magazines have no resistance at the top.

The problem is these stainless magazines will not drop and have to be pulled out. My Mk III has a Tandemkross magazine disconnect installed. Blued magazines eject!

The feed lips on the stainless mags are much closer together than my blued ones. I tried swapping followers but still had the problem.

The question is should I start grinding on the followers or just return the magazines? I'm very curious if this is common for stainless Ruger .22 magazines?

I own several MK II SS pistols all my magazines are blued type and work great. I understand the 22 45 uses a different style MAG but have no first hand experience with them. Might this be the problem?

The problem is the follower is locked in the up (unloaded) position. It takes considerable effort to push it down. When it does finally release there is a snap and you can feel it. Same thing with both new magazines. These magazines have effectively disabled my Mk III magazine drop modification.

I just called Ruger. Unbelievable customer service! Their magazine expert is out until Monday but they are shipping me 2 new magazines tomorrow with a prepaid return envelope.

Ruger is a top tier firearms manufacturer. They will fix or replace just about anything that they sold. It does not matter if you are the original owner or number 100. They will most likely make you a customer for life after any problems.
