I have a Speed six that I posted about shooting high.....it also has some wearing on it and the ejector rod wobbles a bit..with some hot 357's it spits a little lead too....I was thinking about sending it to ruger to have them overhaul it...has anyone done this?is it worth it?How much did you spend?
I love this gun and want it to be a "keeper"....it shoots accurately(aside form high)and I love the six series...or should I just go get another better one???

I have never sent a gun back to Ruger, but I think you are on the right track. I have read about them doing very good refurbish work and people were satisfied. The Security, Service and Speed Sixes are some great revolvers. I wouldn't trade mine for something "better".

Good luck with whatever you decide.

A buddy of mine sent a Security Six back for endshake and cylinder wobble. They didn't do much if anything about it, they sent it back as loose as can be. For them to send it back with .006" of endshake is simply amazing. Very dissappointing to say the least.

If I were you I would send it back, but don't get your hopes up that it will get fixed in the first or second trip back.
