Does anyone know the best way to put some iron sights on a M77 ruger?

I have one of those all weather stainless rifles with the integral ring mounts but would really appreciate some back up for the scope.

I have access to a full machine shop if I can find a decent front and rear sight that will fit. There is not much meat on the end of this barrell for drilling and tapping so a front band might be in order.

www.brownells.com should have everything you need including the jigs. I would go with the NECG barrel band front sights.
