I have a 30 yr old 10/22 the trigger was terrible. about 20 yrs ago I installed a after market hammer/sear and hammer spring. This mod. cut the trigger pull by haft and shortened the lock time, the problem with this mod. was the gun became ammo sensitive only liking warmer stuff like CCI and such.
I have quite a bit 22lr that the modified 10/22 did not like so I bought a Ruger BX trigger group for $75 from my LGS. The install was easy, the results are very good. I can now feed the 10/22 anything again with what feels like a 3 lb trigger pull :D

Glad it worked out for you.

I thought the BX25 trigger was pretty cool, but based on the reviews, I decided to stick with what I have.

I had a guy at Rimfire Central by the name of SwampFoxX work on my trigger and it's got a nice, smooth 2 lbs. pull. He also put on an extended mag release. I think I paid $35 for his work. Doesn't seem like I'd be gaining much more with the BX25.
