No, not the Ruger firearms company...

The a-hole who owned my dog, Ruger, before I did.

Some of you may remember that I met Ruger the night I was doing a ride along with my friend, a US Park Police shift sergeant.

One of his officers pulled over a couple with a gun in the car. When we got there, the couple was in custody, and I was asked to hold on to the dog, a beautiful little collie mix puppy.

I put in adoption papers on her that night, and finally brought her home two weeks later. Right now she's lying on my foot as I type.

Well, the guy who was in the car (never really clear on whether it was his dog or her dog, not that I really care, actually), allegedly shot a guy to death in a bowling alley in Clinton, Maryland, a few days ago.

According to the news clips, he was bumped by another guy, went to his car, got a shotgun, killed the guy who did the bumping and wounded two others.

He's now on the lam, and his girlfriend (not the same woman), is missing. Police don't know if she's been kidnapped or if she's traveling with him of his own accord.

This guy, IIRC, had multiple felony arrests in New York and other states, was a fellon in possession of a firearm in the District of Columbia, and was apparently on unsupervised probation.

It's a pity he didn't pull this crap in Virginia, where the gene pool would have a chance at being cleansed.

I hope Ruger wasn't a victim of this rearend's violence.

One of my best friends has a son named Ruger.
