How old must a handgun be to be covered under the C&R rules. Are there different ages for different guns or does one rule fit all. Also what documents must you receive from the C&R buyer in order to legally sell and ship the gun.? Thanks for any info.

There are different rules for different guns. Fifty years is a rule of thumb, but some very recent firearms are also on the list. Uniqueness/collectability is a determining factor. You can view the complete list on the ATF web site. They should also send you a copy when you get your license.

Thanks for the info. Do you have a link for the ATF list of firearms considered C&R items?
