I got a rail that mounts on the rear sight of my mosin for xmas which says "no gun smithing required" right on the package.
I Went to install the rail the other day so i could mount my reflex to it but much to my dismay the pin will not budge.
I at first tried tapping it out with the allen wrench the set came with. I obviously had no luck and went over to a friends house and we used his pin punch to try and remove it and we couldn't get any more luck. This pin wont even budge for some reason. I don't think this is a rust issue as the gun itself was in immaculate condition when I picked it up.
Any idea why this pin is stuck?
I will probably take it to the folk at gander mountain and use my free coupon for scope mounting and see if i can talk them into installing the rail to do it on. I have no experience with any gun smiths though i have told even a small single pin being punched out could cost me a fair bit of dough
