Sniper rifle V-94 "Vzlomscik" is a new generation weapon. It was presented in 1994 by Tula's constructor bureau. Sniper rifle is intended for Russian Federal Security Service (known as FSB) and Russian Army special forces. It was used during anti-terrorist operation in Chechnya and showed oneself as a really high effective weapon.

It is able to defeat live power, light armoured vehicles, radio location stations, missile and artillery systems, aviation technique on the ground, enemy snipers, control national borders, destroy sea mines and damage small ships.

Powerful 12.7-mm cartridge allows to defeat enemy in 2000 m distance. In 2000 m experienced sniper hits matchbox. In 500 m armor-piercing bullet proofs 16-mm armor plate. Long distance leaves sniper unachieved by usual weapons.

Due to it's extremely long length V-94 has ability to fold half what decreases it's length from 1.7 to 1.1 m. To lower rifles recoil it is fitted with amortization buttstock. Recoil impulse is also lowered by flame hider which makes sniper unnoticed. Rifles mechanism allows only single fire.

Did you run Cryllic text through a translator?

What is an "amortization buttstock"?

Cool looking thing, I like the fold in half idea actually.

I wonder if "amortization buttstock" is a translation artifact related to cognate words like "mortise," since that is a type of (potentially very strong) joint. Or, since "amortization" as it's used in many contexts means something like "pay down over time," and therefore reducing the total (monetary) pain, perhaps "[recoil] reducing" is the right thought.

This is a neat-looking gun -- are there any .50 BMGs that similarly fold?

Amortization buttstock - means it's so expensive you have to take a second mortgage on your house to buy it, which creates a new amortization schedule.

:D

Given what amortization means in a financial context, I think it's a beautiful metaphor for how most recoil reduction devices work.

I think this is what happens when you sneak steroids into 9mm brass and feed it to a kel-tec SUB-2000.

Having fired that particular cartridge in a machine gun and being quite impressed by the 3'X6' muzzle blast, I sincerely doubt that the 'flame hider' will make the sniper unnoticed! :neener:

Service reports on the V-94 say this thing isn't nearly as accurate as it's made out to be, and it requires match-grade ammo or the accuracy goes to hell; using standard 12.7 ammo, it is supposed to produce a 90cm (about 3 feet) group at 600 metres.
