So when I got my AR10 in 6.5 Creed, I bought 200 rounds of S&B 140gr for $12 per 20. Best price I could find for some fodder ammo to play with the new rifle. First shots ripped the rim off the brass or and stuck the case. Tried multiple time single feeding. Set that ammo aside until I just got a 6.5 Crred bolt gun and decided to try it again. HEAVY bolt and blown primer.

So I just tore down 80 pieces from a single lot # and measured CBTO, COAL & charge weight. Will do the stats later, but wanted some help IRVING the powder.

The avg charge weight was 39.2gr and a picture is attached.

Any help would be appreciated.

I plan to take the charge down 10% and work up to 38.8'ish. Once I can get some more containers, I will start breaking down some from another lot to see if they are similar.

I've shot a few boxes of it through my bolt guns with no issues. It gave 2670 fps over my chronograph. It is all my brother and son in law use anymore.

They may have had a problem lot. I would call them and see whatthey say. ID'ing that propellant is probably not possible as it is their specific manufactured mix. Close but not the same as our reloading types we have access to. Working up a load MAY work but I would replace it with something I had data for just to be safe.YMMV
