S&W 10-5, 2" snubby, moderate wear, locks up tight and good cylinder gap. $549. Good buy or not? How rare is this model?

I want one. Never see them around here. If they are in nice shape I would think between $450 and $500. Would be good. ?????????

Not terribly rare but still I haven't seen one for quite a few years. Did come across a nice 2" round butt Model 12 awhile back but the asking price was a bit too high for my budget. Asking price of $549 seems a little high; maybe offer somewhere around $475 to $500.

Unless the gun is in excellent overall condition with little or no signs of use $549 is not a good price.

Are we talking about a RB or SB Model 10 snubbie?

The RB models command a lot higher price where I live.

As far as for SB models, I bought a nice 10-5 2" SB last year for $319 at a local shop.

Nevermind, you mean round butt and square butt don't you? I think it was square butt but I'll go back to check.

I have a 10-5 in mint condition, but it's not a snub.

Around here, I see them going for about $300 - $350. But those are usually 4", not snubs, haven't seen many snubs around.

It would take around $500 to buy one in these parts if you ever saw one.

My wife packed this one as a Deputy for years. Now it serves as a night stand gun

I carry this Model 12 from time to time when I feel like going "lite".

Thanks everyone. Took another look. Square butt. And pretty worn bluing. I had the cost wrong too; $399; maybe might get it down to $350. Ultimately decided I just didn't want it as a companion to my 4" Model's 64 and 15.
