I am looking at a nice condition Model 29. It is nickel plated, and comes with a presentation case, but the case just has styrofoam in it and no velour cover. Did some of them come that way, or was the velour removed at some point?

How much is a gun like this worth?

That blue 'velour' or whatever it is rots away or otherwise desintigrates very commonly. It's a sprayed on coating kinda' like kids do on Christmas decorations in kindegarten.

I've been given addresses a couple of times for people who refinish or redo the covering - one guy in Ohio as I recall. I MIGHT be able to pull them up if noone else pops in with one.

I wouldn't let the condition of that stuff be a deciding factor unless the case is touted as a reason for extra high pricing. As I remember it would be some $150. to redo the blue stuff.

I've got three of those boxes in my attic and one has no blue. Big deal.
