I have the opportunity to buy a S&W 60-3 for $400.
Mechanically it is pristine, locking up tighter than a Colt. The finish is also very good with only minor brushing from holster or pocket. The bore is perfect and the chambers are a bit dirty, but not worn or corroded. There is some blackening on the front of the cylinder, but the rear is unblemished and there isn't a spec under the ejector star. There is no sign of cutting in the frame above the cylinder/barrel gap. I'm no expert, but it seems unlikely more than a handful of rounds were fired through it.
Only the wood grips show any wear, and I can't figure out why they don't seem to match the apparent marginal wear on the rest of the revolver. Maybe they aren't original? They fit perfectly.
No box or accoutrements.
