Does anyone have an opinion on good set of grips to replace JM wooden grips on S&W 625, got good sized hands, but those wood handles are hard to keep good grip on.

Stocks on pistols are like shoes or bicycle saddles. What do you want and how do you fit.
I have a 625JM, have switched between the factory JM stocks to Hogue then back to the JM then recently put the Hogues back on and ground most of the finger groves off and smoothed the sides of the stocks.
I'd like to try a set of Pachmayr round to square butt conversion grips.

I have Ahrends square conversion and rounded, finger grooved and straight... I love the JM grips, especially on that 625 - want another set for my 627. I did finally buy some 'Goodyears' - the excellent backstrap padding/recoil-absorbing Hogue .500 Magnum grips, as equipped on new .460/.500 Magnum S&Ws. They fit K, L, N, & X-frames - and eat up the minor .45 ACP recoil quite well - I know one fellow who swears by them on his 625 - and another who put them on his 696. They made my 629s 'fun' againStainz

Try eagle grips they have several selections that are really nice. I have several pair and they are comfy and fit my large hands well. I also have ahrends and those are nice too. Gus

I like Hogue checkered for round butt as shown here on a 625

The 610 now has rosewood but same design. They fit me well but I also use Miculek grips for a lot of games.
