I have a S&W 637 1 year old fired around 30 times LNIB, what should I expect to get out of it at a guns shop in trade in on a ruger sp101? I am getting a new 642 for christmas and don't really want 2 airweights but I do want a sp101.

As a comparison to Dan's quote - my son bought one new after trading his GP - and paid $300 out the door - which seemed an OK deal for new.
So depending on where you dispose of yours, maybe Dan's price is as he says a max!

Bear in mind that most gun dealers like to give you as little trade in value as possible in order to maximize thier profit when they turn around and sell your gun to someone else.
