S&W K frame factory rubber grips?

What manufacturer rubber grips are used on new S&W K frames now? I’ve seen a few newish K frames that have a good feeling rubber grip but I can’t find out who makes them. One vendor said they were ‘factory’, another says they are Uncle Mike’s. I can’t find any grips on the Uncle Mike’s web site, but I found a Butler Creek page that has a rubber grip that looks similar to what I remember. I have a Combat Masterpiece that I want to regrip and the Hogue and Packmayr grips just don’t suit. The one new S&W with the unmarked, fine checkered square frame rubber grips that I handled felt just right and now I can’t identify the grips or find a source.

I want to say that most of the rubber grips S&W's come with are from Hogue, but I have no source immediately available to confirm or deny that.

Suggestion: Call S&W Customer Service and ask them.

FPrice's suggestion is worthy: I think Smith & Wesson uses lots of vendors to supply rubber grips, and may even have some designs of its own it has produced by assorted manufacturers.

Most J and K frame S&W grips are indeed the Butler Creek product - see here for a fit chart (requires Adobe Acrobat).

Many L frame S&W revolvers have Hogue grips, either the standard Monogrip or the smaller Bantam. See here for their grip selection page.

Buttler Creek K frame grips

Thanks for the info and recommendations on S&W rubber grips. I received today from Gamaliel Shooting Supply some Uncle Mikes / Butler Creek rubber grips for my square butt K frames. These replace the factory wood and are the best fitting grips I have tried. The revolver is now pointing where I am looking with no effort. I found the grips on a search for Butler Creek and they were in BC packaging, but are marked Uncle Mike’s 50505 inside. Gamaliel ships in packaging with only GSS as a name in the return address.

My 66 2.5" was factory equipped with Butler Creek (the fullsize grips, not boot grips).

My 642 came with Butler Creek Boot Grips

My 686 2.5" came with that ridiculous Hogue rubber monogrip.
