S&W / Ruger And CALIF Micro Stamping

S&W and Ruger's stand against micro-stamping in California might very well make me switch to one of these two as makers of my primary carry guns.

Glock doesn't follow suit. If Glock goes along with these crazy rules, then I am selling every Glock I own (and, I love my Glocks!).

Why sell all your Glocks?
As much as CA's gun laws suck, I don't want the people who live there to be unable to buy a quality firearm for self defense. I understand Ruger and S&W's logic for not jumping through the hoops anymore, but there's no point in beating Glock up if they choose to try and stay in the market.

Also, as I understand it, S&W and Ruger revolvers will still be sold in CA. So if you're planning to sell your Glocks, you should also sell your Rugers and S&W's.

Wait, I thought Ruger and S&W were still on "nevah gon' buy agin" probation for the friendly AWB stance and internal lock, respectively?

1) California LE will still get their guns, they always do
2) Companies that sell to LE only still wish they could sell to civvies, and will lobby to do so as they do currently

So, no reason to boycott. All it does is make people angry at eachother, there's not enough of us to actually pressure anybody with authority to change the situation (which is why it happened in the first place), and it won't accomplish anything.

Let me put it this way -- ANY gun maker that complies with these insane, stupid, and idiotic micro-stamping laws will not get my business.

Almost all my handguns are Glocks, and I will sell every one of them if they make a California "Friendly" handgun.

This micro-stamping is right up there with the lawsuits that were filed against gun makers years ago. They budge on this, and the anti's will make weigh down every handgun with a million and one "safety" rules that will make them not work worth a damn and be terribly expensive at the same time.

To play the devils advocate, why not support these companies that are willing to comply at their increased cost, to allow people to continue to own firearms, regardless of idiotic local laws?

By not supporting them, you are actually helping the antis.
