SAA Hammer swap

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to put an 1873 Bisley hammer in a 1873 SAA? I can't find any good pics of them to see if they look the same. Why would you want to do that you ask. I have no idea, I just think it would be cool. I dont like the look of the Bisley grip I guess, but I like the hammer. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm thinking no.

I think the Bisley hammer spur would contact the SAA backstrap before full cock was reached, but I could be mistaken.

Regardless, it wouldn't work well in practice without the Bisley grip shape putting your thumb in the right place for easy cocking.

Even then, most folks don't feel they are as good as the original SAA design for ease & speed of use.
