Sabot Muzzle Loading bullet in BP case use

Has anyone tried shooting a sabot bullet like the Barnes or Hornady sabots for example through their BP cartridge rifle? I think the softer plastic will be easier on the rifling of an older rifle than copper. What is the best accuracy possible for the sabot BP bullets?

No but I've shot them in .30-06. Remington called them the Accelerators. Nothing is new under the sun, even if it was done with smokeless first.
The Accelerators were pie-plate accurate at 100 yards, but that was the average hunter's accuracy requirement back then.
