Safest place to commit a rape

Well it has been a few yrs. I transferred from one Campus to another. I was dating a gal at my old school. There was some assults and as I had worked Security there when was a student I decided to hang around. I checked in with head and he told nobody. I patrolled the campus at night for days and NOBODY caught on. Security never saw me and so many times students (many female/alone) walked right past and never saw me. There were so dang many hiding places where there was a bench/trash can/etc if you didn't move nobody saw you.
Well they caught the guy (Gal yelled and couple guys chased him down) so I talked to head of Security again. He was surprised I had not hung around as I said. When I told him I did he was upset none of his Officers ever saw me.
I could drift right into locked womens dorms at 2am and walk hallways and nobody cared. The number of OPEN doors into womens rooms is amazing.
Funny thing is when I was working security (on either campus) I was forbidden to carry so much as pocket knife but other job had firearm. I always carried a knife and other tools.

campus

when my little girl went off to college I made her take her very well worn 1911. she was " daddy they don't allow ccw". I told her I didn't give a damn.

I would mail out a letter now, but since im under 21, handguns would be illegal for me to carry from dorms to campus anyway (goes across a public highway).

I think when I turn 21, I will get a CCW in MA( and hopefully NJ as well), and get the school to approve me. I highly doubt it would be a problem if I requested.

Since it is a private school, I would be afraid of getting tossed off of campus for carrying though, or at least lose scholarships.

Finally: This Is MA: there are many more rules that have to be adjusted, and minds to change before carrying on campus becomes prime requirement.

In my state, you can apply for a pistol permit at 18.

AFS, I applaud you. I hope there are no statutes banning gun posession in the state your daughter attends (attended?) school. There isn't in my state, just a school reg, so the worst that could happen is expulsion. Since I'm transferring anyway at the end of the year, I'm not too worried about that.

...which is exactly what happened with these cases. The suspected murderer has been arrested. He was also wanted for another murder.

I heard that the suspected rapist has been arrested, too, thank whatever deity you happen to believe in.

Regarding the murder, the victim was a student two months from graduation who left behind a four-year-old son. By the way, this incident was the third time his residence had been burglarized in as many years. Fat lot of good the local cops do as compared to an armed citizenry, no disrespect meant for LEOs.

If you want to read the article in the university paper about the murder, I've scanned it. (1024x550 217KB JPEG)

Here's an article from last week's paper about the murder. Interesting excerpts:

Hillsdale residents are no strangers to crime. The university-owned neighborhood has had a history of robberies, burglaries, drug busts and other criminal activity.
No man's land

A walk through Hillsdale reveals streets lined with broken bottles and beer cans, needles and prophylactics. Ramshackle vacant houses with no doors, shattered windows and roofs caving in are scattered throughout the neighborhood, on some streets outnumbering those occupied.
