Saiga 7.62x39 price check

Howdy folks,
I'm calling in a price check for all of you Saiga Gurus out there. I'm looking for a 16.3" barrel, skeleton stock preferred but not required, non-converted Saiga.

Where have you found the best deals (but not that "one time deal of a lifetime")?
What am I looking to spend?
Not including magazines, but including shipping, I'd like to stay under or around 300 (is that reasonable)

paid $325 for a 7.62x39 w/ skeleton stock in AK. Love it. 30 rd mags about $40 each.

Paid $300 OTD for my x39 Saiga at the last Nations Gun Show in Chantilly VA.

Master Molder 30rd mags are $12+ shipping in case you're interested, no bullet guide necessary. But you need to replace a couple other parts on the gun for 922 compliance.

If you use Master moulder mags you only need to replace 1 part, the gas piston is the easiest. Then you can use regular capacity happy fun day magazines all day long!

So assuming I keep the Saiga in it's origional condition using 10 round mags (I'll keep the hi-cap mags at my folks' house until I get orders out of CA), I can own this rifle in CA even though it's built off of a Kalashnikov platform?

The newer Saiga firearms and apparently not on "The List", only the older ones are in California.

Aaryq, in California "Kaliashnikov USA" saigas are assault rifles. "Russian American Amory" and "European Amory" saigas are legal because they aren't listed. All saiga shotguns are are assault rifles unless they have non detachable mags. Mark

The CA regs say this define shotguns as assault weapons like so:

Shotguns
(6) A semiautomatic shotgun that has both of the following:
(A) A folding or telescoping stock.
(B) A pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon, thumbhole stock, or
vertical handgrip.
(7) A semiautomatic shotgun that has the ability to accept a detachable magazine.
(8) Any shotgun with a revolving cylinder.

All this is leading me to think that someone could make a pretty penny selling folding stocks that block the weapon from firing when folded, Kel-Tec style.
