I have been trying to reload for my savage. I have tried about 10 different loads and none of them seem to group less that 2.5in at 125 yards. I even tried factory Remington 100 grain core lokts and they were around 2.5-3 at best. Any suggestions on a good powder load and bullet to make my groups shrink. They were shot from a caldwell tackdriver.

Several powder weights of Win 760. Nosler 95gr, Hornady 100 gr btsp, 90 gr sierra fmjbt

Is this a new rifle or has it shot better groups before. Need some more info. Have checked to make sure your scope, rings and base and bedding are not the fault.

I shoot Remington 700 ADL and hold a nickel or less group at 100yds. I use a 85gr. Sierra boat tail hollow point with 37gr. 4895 and CCI primers. This load is hot but holds consistent in my rifle.

Not enough info. Has this rifle/scope/shooter shot well with factory ammo? Are you shooting from a bench with sandbags? Are you sorting brass by headstamp? What do you do for case prep?

I worked up a load yesterday for my Savage 99. 100 gr. Hornady S.P. seated short of the lands pushed by 43.0 gr. of Reloder 22 = 5/8" 3-shot group at 100 yds.
