I have a Savage Model 220, 410 guage that was my grandfather's and I would like to learn more about it.

Left side SAVAGE ARMS CORPORATION, UTICA, NEW YORK, USA MODEL 220

Right side PROOF TESTED .410 BORE, 8 INCH CHAMBER

Other markings MI 29

Can anyone help with info or lead me to where I can find information about this shotgun. I would like to know how old it is and any other information.

Thanks, Tom

I believe the Savage 220 was made from 1938 until about 1965 . The .410 would be a 3 inch chamber . Hard to say when yours was made within that time period .

I think some of the 12 ga. versions had military usage for training guns, but that would not effect your .410 gun. The average selling price these days of a .410 version is likely between $100 & $150
