I'm considering putting a scope on my 7.5" barrel 44 mag Redhawk for hunting (mostly deer). Can anyone recommend a good scope?

Thanks.

I have a Leupold 2x on my Taurus Raging Bull in 454 casull, and the Bushnell 2-6x would be my next choice on a scope for a revolver.....The Bushnell has been getting good write-ups and is cheaper than the Leupold if you want a variable..............also Burris and Redfield makes good pistol scopes, so there is a lot of options for you to check out...................

My 7.5" Redhawk carries the Bushnell fixed power 2X32. I haven't busted it yet after 3 hundred rounds of 240 gr XTP's traveling at 1350 fps or so. Is your RH the Hunter model with the ring grooves on the barrel?

forgot to add

It has the grooves on the barrel and came with scope rings. I'm sure if it was referred to as the hunter model when I bought about 8 years ago.

Thanks for all the info.

The only problem that I had with this model is that the rings are mounted too close together to accomidate a red dot type scope, or I would have gone that way with this gun instead of the magnified crosshairs.

I've had a Bushnell 2x6 variable scope on my 9 1/2" SRH for over 10 years....still going strong.
