Hi guys

I'm looking for a new scope for a .280 for hunting and some long range informal target shooting

must be good glass, rugged construction, mil adjustment, duplex reticle, magnification in the ball park of 3-10, 40mm objective lense preferred, adjustable objective or side parallax, target turrets and plenty of internal adjustment

Any scopes which meet these criteria? Or will I have to just get a leupold MK4 LR/T with .25MOA clicks....

Being from a metric country, mil adjustments make much more sense to me

Bushnell Trophy would be a good setup.
And not as bad on the price, as the Leupold.

I was going to say a BSA Platinum.
But since I've never used it on a high recoil rifle.
I wont recommend it for that reason.

Here are a few suggestions fitting your description. There is the new Sightron Big Sky tactical scope, new Nikon MONARCH X scopes, and a favorite Valdada Long range scopes. All three would be less expensive alternatives than the Leupold MK4.
