Scope Pictoral Reference

Is there a site/s that would have a set of pics idetentifying what one would see when looking through the major different types of scopes?

I haven't owned a scope yet and what the different ones are. Everyone seems to like and recommend the "military recticle" - "mil dot" type and I have no idea how it would look didferent and how and why it's better.

Thanks guys. This has been helpful.

I thought I had been successful in completely getting away from and eliminating math from my life. Hadn't planned on it becoming part of my hobby but dang some of these scopes will require number crunching.
