Is there a site/s that would have a set of pics idetentifying what one would see when looking through the major different types of scopes?

I haven't owned a scope yet and what the different ones are. Everyone seems to like and recommend the "military recticle" - "mil dot" type and I have no idea how it would look didferent and how and why it's better.

A picture is worth a thousand words, you know :)

But I don't know what scopes it comes on....

This one would work nicely...

Leupold VX-III, 1.5-5x20mm Illuminated Reticle, Matte Finish, 30mm Main Tube

I've e-mailed Loopy to see if I can have it my way.

Thanks guys. This has been helpful.

I thought I had been successful in completely getting away from and eliminating math from my life. Hadn't planned on it becoming part of my hobby but dang some of these scopes will require number crunching.
