Here is ArmedScholar, a licensed and practicing attorney specializing in gun rights, discussing the current status of the bump stock case. He thinks it will go to SCOTUS and since a major argument has to do with the applicability of Chevron deference vs the rule of lenity, SCOTUS' ruling would likely equally apply to the pistol brace rule.
