Sell my BHP?

With the political climate being what it is, I would say that selling any gun that you didn't need to sell is foolish.

No, this is not a "OMGZ TEH SKY IS FALLING!" warning, but let's face it: the dems look to gain in both houses of congress, and they may take the White House as well. And, if they don't, we get John McCain. Add in the fact that inflation is probably going to be steep for a while and that there is zero reason to think that any durable good like a gun is ever going to get cheaper than it is now, due to raw materials and labor costs and completely ignoring the political angle, the only reason I can see to sell anything is because you NEED cash now.

If you're having to ponder the question, you don't need the cash now. Hang onto the gun. Of course, this logic applies to everyone, and if everyone followed it the B/S/T forums would be pretty vacant. ;)

PS I certainly don't advise anyone holding onto a vz24, Swedish or Siamese mauser to hold onto the gun. Those things are gonna sink like stones in value. PM me and I'll help you unload them quickly.

I agree with the guy above...no need to sell a BHP...

Just keep it...you'll thank us later...:)

Keep it, you said you don't really need the money. If later down the road you need the money, you still have the gun and it will likely be worth more then than it is now.

Actually, the MKIII is not currently being made, IMHO. Brownings are made by FN, they depend on FN for importation of the Hi Power.

There has not been a new MKIII Hi Power imported into this country in over a year.

If you sell that Mk III Hi-Power, the ghost of J.M. Browning...will haunt your dreams. Cancel your Premium Cable package for a few months, drink cheap beer until 2015, do whatever you HAVE to do (sell a CZ). But KEEP that Hi-Power. Amen.

If you do sell the BHP, you will kick yourself long, hard, and repeatedly for doing so. The ghost of John Moses Browning will haunt your dreams. I, personaly consider JMB a Higher Power, with Mister Saive at his right hand passing fully loaded magazines.
