I just sent in my renewal petition for my Florida CCW license. I then sat back to read the copy of the current Florida Statutes (Chapter 790) governing the ownership of weapons and fireamrs in the state. I looked for the part that deals with selling your privately owned gun to another individual (which has always been legal in Florida), but couldn't find it. Sale and delivery of firearms, 790.065, deals only with merchant responsibilities for commercial sales. I found no mention of the private owner's right to sell his or her gun to someone else. Now, I know this right exists, or at least existed last time I checked. But where is it in mentioned in the Florida statutes. Anyone here acquainted with Florida laws in this regard?
