A friend is having trouble with a semi-auto PKM and he has given it to me to figure out.
I have a few questions.
Could use a firing pin, but not the complete bolt.
Found a few parts sources but no luck, may make one.

Don't know who built it
Is failing to fire 1 out of 10 shots, average.
It's hitting the primer good and hard, sets it in farther and shows a good strike.
Don't have pictures, ammo always goes off with a Mosin.
And the struck rounds go off with a Mosin also.
Thinking maybe the firing pin is a little to pointed.
Protrusion at the rear of the bolt with a round on the bolt face and loaded in the chamber is .045"
Thinking about flattening the firing pin tip just a little.
But not the original, am going to make or scrounge up a spare to play with.
Found a complete bolt but I not paying $125 just to get a spare pin.

Any other thoughts?

Have tried 3 different makes of ammo, all with the same results.
Gun works great otherwise.

Sounds to me like you could use a new mainspring, that's all. Also, clean the firing pin channel to ensure it's operating smoothly.
