I wrote Sen. Wyden of Oregon a short note asking him to support S.659 a few months ago. Also indicated that I'd like to see more tort reform limiting outragrous lawsuites and even more outrageous judegments with regard to product liabilty and more.
Received a reply yesterday. Seems that Sen. Wyden is not currently convinvced that there is a need to change the law regarding accountability of gun manufacturers and dealers. He feels that if baseless lawsuits are being filed, that our judicial system has been entrusted with the duty to filter out these suits.
Yea, right. As long as those members of the judicial system are annointed by the Democratic party. Too bad he and his ilk do not have the same faith in the same judicial system when it comes to the Gore loss in 2000.
No surprise. I'll use these words/line of thought/belief against him in some other letter.
