Send in the Clowns!

I got a nice letter today from one of my favorite clowns, Al Franken asking for a generous donation of campaign funds so he can run for the seat of Senator Norm Coleman of Minnesota. Personally, I think Al is a better clown than he would ever be as senator. Come to think of it he's a better clown than he is a news reader.

Senator Coleman is rated A by the NRA for his gun control record. (I doubt that Franken could achieve a D- rating on a still day with optimal temperature and humidity, using both hands and a compass.)

I thought that Al Franken doing punditry was hilarious, although it eventually became apparent that instead of playing some bigger joke, as was the case with Andy Kaufman in professional wrestling, he honestly intended to appeal to people at a pre-teen level.
