This is a gun forum. Most of us on here have guns and many people on here actually use them to hunt. Actually use them to hunt game animals down and shoot them. Now imagine if someone did that with snakes as is now being done in the everglades. Now I am not saying I hunt snakes like that but I like many others on here I am sure kill the occasional snake with god forbid a gun. Especially the venomous variety, I posted a thread today regarding posting pictures of snake kills and the guns and loads used and was shut down by a moderator, Really??? Do yall agree with this?? Am I a sick person because I shoot venomous snakes? Am I wrong to start a thread dedicated to pictures of snakes members have dispatched; Am I sick for the thought?... Or do we need better moderators???

No I don't think you're sick or wrong to kill snakes, I do it all the time. The issue was most likely because you posted gory pictures of said snakes. Overly grotesque images are not allowed.
Discussing your personal loads for dispatching snakes would have been fine. Same with targets with snakes on them. Bloody messes that used to be snakes are probably why it was closed.

I actually don't see very many threads dedicated to pictures of anything taken with a firearm, be it for sport, game, or control. Maybe they're in the "hunting" section? I don't frequent that one, but I doubt that nuisance critter control counts as "hunting."

Snakes do a tremendous amount of good. They eat many small pest animals. They do very little harm in the process. Even venemous snakes are fairly harmless. I have caught and relocated rattlesnakes - it isn't hard, and the benefits far outweigh the risks of having them around.
I am currently looking at a Texas Rat Snake that a friend found in their chicken coop. I caught it (easy) and put it in a cage. Eventually I'll get tired of looking at it and let it go under my house where I am sure it will keep the rodents in line. For now everyone in the house likes watching it eat.
I say if you kill a snake and don't eat it you are weird.

Sure. I'm just not sure posting pictures of said animals dead is allowed. We have tons of hunting related and snake related discussions here, just without pictures.
Also, about censorship, you accepted the forum rules. Get over it. Online forums do not have to allow freedom of speech, press, or any other freedoms since you choose to participate and agree to follow their rules.
