Time to contact your representatives (even if you already have). Urge them to Support H.R. 3668 the SHARE ACT. This includes the Hearing Protection Act among other items that are good for gun owners.

The American Suppressor Association has a Facebook post about it moving to the floor but their website does not have the update yet.

I believe (and I could be wrong) that the SHARE act also addresses traveling between States, AP ammo importation and even "AWB" importation bans.

So please, do your part and share with friends/family to also contact their reps.

No point here. My Congressman will vote for it. Unfortunately, I'm embarrassed to say that the carpetbaggers in Northern Va elected Tim Kaine and Mark Warner to the Senate and they'll not represent the majority of our state and will vote against it no matter what we do.

Worse, Kaine will probably be reelected and continue his anti 2nd Amendment crusade. But I'll do all I can to help him be defeated as he was a horrible governor (raised taxes, closed the rest stops and made traffic fines higher for residents than out of state speeders)

Wow, the wheels of congress turn...rather quickly for a change. I have a theory that gun rights are the most realistically winnable issue among all the Republicans' promises, if they would only give them a chance to stand on their own.

Don't count on it. This still needs to get through the Senate. And the likes of Kaine, Pelosi, etc will do all they can to ensure this doesn't get voted on, passed, and sent to the President for signature.

The House has passed upwards of three times as many bills as have even had committee hearings in the Senate this year. There are something like fewer than 28 legislative days left in the Senate in 2017. The Graham-Cassidy Obamacare repeal eats up September, then tax reform. It is extremely unlikely that a House passed SHARE Act will even have a hearing in the Senate in 2017.

I just had a Democratic canvasser stop by my house and ask if I was going to vote for Northam for governor this coming November. I told her I couldn't, strictly because of the gun issue (Northam is for an "assault weapons" ban, magazine limits, "universal background checks," and a one-gun-a-month limit on handgun purchases). Unfortunately my small protest will fall on deaf ears, and Northam will probably be elected. Our only hope is that he will be checkmated by the General Assembly.

We had one Dem and one GOP come to ours this past weekend.

I've said for awhile that we need an electoral college for statewide offices. I Grew up in Northern Va and left 10 years ago. it was very different than D.C. and the formerly "Free State". Now it's as bad if not worse.

Our only hope is high voter turnout in "real Virginia" and low in the urban areas.

See my post, I was shocked seeing what those idiots want. We also have the fiancé of the reporter killed in Roanoke running in the district next to us to avenge her death. He says it's not the case, but he can't even get his lies straight.

Frankly I'm like many and fed up. I hope it doesn't come to it, but I suspect our founding fathers were right and the exercising of our rights may be the only way we end the tyranny that's been growing and growing.
