Sharing mags between .22lr rifle and .22lr pistol

Is there a .22lr rifle and .22lr pistol combo that uses the same magazines?

I think the Browning Buckmark and its carbine version take the same mags. Ditto for the Walther G22 and P22, AFAIK.

The mags are mostly the same, but the plastic base plates are different and have different angled edges, so you'd have to modify one or the other to work with both weapons.

Carl Walther makes a conversion kit that will allow you to change a Walther GSP into a rifle.

But it's kinda spendy.

A Walther GSP will feed from Weatherby XXII magazines but you have to file a new catch notch. Worth the trouble to get a serviceable magazine for about 1/4 the cost.

Well, it works for a friend. I looked at his Walther magazine and thought, hmm, that looks a lot like my Weatherby's. Sure enough, hold it in and it would feed. He bought two or three, cut new notches and they shot fine.
I don't guarantee yours will, of course.

By the way, a Walther PP .22 magazine works in a Walther 1936 Olympia if you narrow the floorplate to fit up in the extended target grips. Looks nice if you screw a block of walnut to the bottom to fill the gap, too.
