just to avoid hijacking AxisII 's great thread ...

I to am looking for my next Shield 9 holster. For basis point, my current carry is
[ https://www.desantisholster.com/inside-heat/ ] This is a fine IWB holster, but gradually wearing out. So my choice is an exact replacement, or ...
leather IWB;
double leather snap (the inside heat is a metal single clip);
most importantly, "zero cant" i.e. straight up and down draw;
reinforced opening for 1 hand reholstering.

Lest ye think I'm lazy, I have been searching for the parameters for a while, unsuccessfully. Any thoughts that include the 4 specifications are appreciated.

Contact Wes Dahl at Privateer Leather. Great to work with; listened to every issue I raised and either added that to the design or explained if it was impossible exactly why it was impossible and how he could work around that problem, and he will build exactly what you want.

Which any leather holster will do.

I second the High Noon brand, but be advised that the lite and medium holsters don't have the passive retention of their heavy duty models. I bought the Final Verdict for my LC9s and the holster had zero retention. Before sending it back I randomly stuck my SR9c in the holster and it fit perfectly.
It also stretches, so the gun doesn't live in the holster when not in service.

I partially agree.

The Lite Duty holsters, 100% agree. I always look at those models as holsters you buy when you need something fast, but are waiting for a better holster.

In their Medium Duty line-up, the Back Down, Private Matter, Final Verdict, and Split Image are essentially Lite Duty models with sweat shields, and I agree with your observation. I'd expect fit and performance to be similar to the Lite Duty line.

However, in the Medium Duty line-up, the Hideaway, Bare Necessity, Upper Limit, Hidden Impact, Split Level, and Center Piece are equivalents of the Extreme Duty line, but just don't have a sweat shield. I'd expect the same fit and durability of these models as their Extremed Duty models.

JTQ, I'm almost embarrassed. I've been up one side and down the other of High Noon. Pretty much skipped right past the models mentioned because the web pics always showed the metal belt clip, so I never bothered to view them. I had no idea there was a strap option. Looks like the Public Secret fills the bill.
I've never heard of Tauris Leather, looks like nice stuff.
Kramer is absolutely top tier, with pricing to match. I've considered them for several sidearms.
Thanks all for the suggestions. I've found at least 3 new leather sources as well.
