Shipping a Firearm?

I am selling a firearm and would like advise on how to ship? I know that i cannot use the USPS. I believe that I can use UPS or FED Ex! In shipping to an FFL in state(TX) or out of state, what should I know?

Long gun or short? Short guns cannot go by USPS but long guns generally can. I've shipped dozens of rifles by priority mail.

I shipped a firearm I sold though Fed Ex. They make you ship it overnight and make sure you pack it well. It is the weight and destination plus the overnight fee. Cost me a little over $50

Must it be sent overnight? Can I do a 3 day air??

Has to be sent next day air, per company policies.
