Have you shipped a firearm back to the manufacturer via UPS or Fed Ex? Are there any special restrictions?

For UPS, you must take the firearm to one of their hubs (the Customer Counter, specifically, its the place where all their trucks originate from for your area) or, if you have a UPS driver come by your house or business every day (a Daily Pickup Account, you have to pay for that service), you can hand it to the driver with a prepaid label.

It will cost you like $40 to overnight a handgun (handguns must go at least Next Day Air Saver).

I just sent my Glock via FedEx

I sent my Glock back to New Smyrna Glock factory for the frame "upgrade" via FedEx from Gainesville FL. I declared the contents of the package as an unloaded firearm. I automatically asked for Next Day delivery, but the desk clerk didn't seem to care how I shipped it. She also didn't seem to care that it was a firearm!

No hassles.

Glock has sent my newly "upgraded" pistol back via UPS, but since it requires a signature, I will have to go pick it up at the local UPS office (I can't seem to be home when the UPS guy comes by.) Glock shipped it back via Next Day delivery.

The last few guns I have sent or received have been done using FedEX. Of course I still get to see my UPS guy when he delivers my ammo.
