A lot of folks are operating on the assumption that they will magically know who the good guy is and who the bad guy is.

Are we talking about the same video? I see a crowd kicking a guy's head in, while he's on the ground. Good guy or bad guy I wouldn't stand by and allow it to happen.

What are you saying (or cleverly not saying); that you would condone a lynching? Even if the guy on the ground in the video is the worst of sorts, he doesn't deserve to die at the hands of a violent mob. But I think we both know that isn't at all the case here.

Nobody said they would condone anything of the sort. Nobody is condoning a beating given to an undeserving man. What people are saying is it you are unlikely to be in possession of the facts necessary to make the determination of who is right and who is wrong.
If a guy had a guy and pointed it at me, and I caught him on the chin with a lucky punch cause thats all I had....I'd damn sure kick him in the head if he falls down and I don't know he's not going to roll over and pop me.
Guess you'd shoot me first and ask questions later. Don't need that any more than we need people doing nothing.
