Shotguns among most popular weapons for criminals in New York City

My question is this: what else is there in the list of weapons? Pistols were number one, revolvers number two, shotguns number four. I guess you could put clubs, knives, fists, other items up there, but it seems to me that if you have 6 major categories of weapons, a 4th place finish for shotguns is not bad. The 6 seem to me to be pistols, revolvers, rifles, shotguns, knives and clubs. So where is the news? Stupid story.

This is my question too- they divided pistols into autos and revolvers. And then something in #3 (? Rifles? Automatic rifles?) and then #4 is "Shotguns": not pump or auto, just shotguns. Sooooo... what else is there? Are "ray-guns" number 5?
