Should I dump a PM9

the PM9 shines if you want to pocket carry a 9mm. otherwise why handicap yourself with such a small gun carried on the belt line when the PPS is easily concealed the same way?

if you're happy with the PM9 keep it. just consider its role and options that might prove better.

Best pocket gun made for the money
I sold my PM9 when I got my LC9s pro, I like it better and it was cheaper, still have my CW45 though.
As to the OP I'd keep it but I find it easy to pocket carry that size gun in certain pants.
I have several guns of that style in varying sizes. LCP, LCR, 442, LC9s pro, CW45

It comes down to the individuals experience with the gun. I got one of the first LC9's like 5 years ago, and it was a great size, but had the worse trigger I ever experienced. I was told that was taken care of on newer generation guns. I would have to see a new one.
The laser was dead on, "mine had the built in model, at 25 yards it was dropping them in the 10 ring.
What was atrocious was the internal build quality especially the trigger spring. After putting in a custom set of internals, "I forgot who made the trigger set up" , but they were all the rage at the time, Anyhow, I couldn't get it to reset.
When I called Rugger up and asked why the 1/4 inch of play, I as told the gun had seizing problems when fired fast, "from heat" so instead of re engineering the part, they left so much room that it could expand without binding.
I thanked the tech , "or whoever he was" and sold the gun.
My PM9 was totally reworked at the factory, with an accuracy package and night sights, all of the internals were polished including the barrel.
I bought it from a friend in Law Enforcement, and was not sure it really had all he claimed done to it until I fired it. 6 mags of mixed ammo and not a hiccup, I carry it all of the time, even when carrying another gun.
That little gun is dead on every time and smooth as butter.

The LC9 hammer fired gun and the LS9s striker fired gun trigger's are night and day. I also bought a LC9 when they first came out it was sold to get the PM9 because the trigger sucked.

This pretty much sums up why I started the thread, but I have decided to keep it because I know it's worth more (to me) than what folks want to pay for a PM9 these days - used or new - due to the CM9's lower cost. And for the record, the PM9 is worth more than a CM9......at least in my eyes.

Thanks for all the thoughts on the subject.....I'll just keep it for a rainy day or when my boy gets old enough to carry he can have it.

Oh, and one more big reason I forgot to leave out - I only want SAO and striker-fired semi-autos these days, and the Kahr is the odd ball in my collection, with the exception of my CZ-75......but it's never going anywhere lol

Mine as well. When I bought my PM9 the CM9 wasn't yet out. If it had been, I would still have purchased the PM9. ;)

My CM9, identical in size/weight rides nicely in the pocket. Not as nicely as my P32, but it's no .32acp either.
Sorry to read you're giving up on your Kahr.

Yes, it is.
The PM has machined small parts where the CM uses MIM.
PM sights are dovetailed, making replacement (night sights) easier.
I'm glad Kahr gives buyers a choice on quality (cost), most makers do not.

I just bought a used pm9 for 345.00 out the door. Early blunt nose model made in '06. Already broke in, shoots perfect. I have a walther pps also, great gun but no pocket pistol.
