Custom Mauser

Here's my custom Mauser in 338 Win Mag.

It's an early Kimber, and has a custom safety and trigger. It's the best shooter out of all the rifles owned. Leupold vx-III with custom reticule.

This shot is a spring bear hunt, 2008 in western Oregon with granddaughter.

heres mine, it is a columbian fn mauser with a santa barbara bolt body but Fn internals, lapped lugs, trued face and parker hale barrel. currently awaiting a new barrel when finances permit.

A Colombian 30-'06 with 3-leaf express rear sight, modified bolt handle (cut off and welded to turn straight down), pedestal front sling swivel, and a laminated stock which is a little modern for the rest of the rifle, I guess.

Just traditional .308 on this one. I didn't want to get too crazy with caliber selection on my first project. If I ever get the funds for another project, I will go with something fairly uncommon.

my vz24, sold to Romania, then the Russian got it and scrubbed the crest off, would've been real nice otherwise.

Here's a couple of my Mauser conversions that I built from Turkish Mausers. Remington take-off barrels can be rethreaded to fit the small ring threads on these large ring actions. I do have a lathe, and a small stock of Remington barrels to choose from.

A couple milsurp Turks too.
