I have a P239 and I like it a lot, but the factory grips are not very comfortable for me. I might be that the grip is small, or too narrow. I use this gun for concealed carry and it conceals really nice. I'm thinking of Hogue grips but I was wondering if the rubber grips would stick to the clothing. Do you guys have any experience with this or have any other grips to recommend?

The Hogue rubber grips are a whole different thing. They have a rounded front (nice) but are finger-grip style (I don't like, YMMV) and yes, they are much more "sticky" than wood or hard plastic.

I don't like them but lots of others do. YMMV. I have seen wood grips that were a little wider than the factory plastic -- don't remember where, perhaps someone else will chime in.

If I were to buy a 239 I would throw some of these Hogue wood grips on it.

Hogue wood grips for Sig

I use the rubber Hogue grips...pert near everyday...

I have big hands and for me they made the gun feel soooo much better.
As for grabbing the shirt or the britches thus far it hasnt been a problem.

The extra finger grip along with the tacky grips gives me much better control, escpecially when it's hot out and my hands are sweaty.

I believe those are Nils Grips he's talking about.

You might want to visit the sigforum.com and do a quick search. Nils is available, imported into Florida, the web site and phone number are on the forum.

The grips used to be approx $89.00 but have mushroomed up to $130-140.00 due to the weak dollar. Great reputation from Sig shooters but might be a bit pricey these days.

I just put some nice checkered Rosewood Hogue grips on my P239. They did make the pistol thicker in the grip, but that was something I needed (the stock grips are just a bit too thin for comfortable shooting to me).

'Nother vote for Hogue wood (walnut) grips, got a set from CDNN for $40. Feel great and dress up the gun a bit, seem to be wearing well.

Hogue it is!

During the time I had my P239 I put Hogue rubberized grips on it. Hard to beat those. I've put 'em two other guns as well--including the P229...

Those Hogue grips look good. For CCW I prefer a smoother grip -- will check the Hogue website to see what they offer. A little thicker would not necessarily be a bad thing on the P239.

I checked the CDNN website and I could only find the rubber grips. How long ago did you purchase them? The grips on the Hogue site are nice but a little too pricey for me. For you other guys, where did you buy your wood grips and how much were they?

Thanks

I'm with MRE. Does CDNN still have these wooden grips? I'll pay $40 or so, but $80 to over $100 is too much for me to afford.

I agree, the sig plastic grips are too thin. I got a set of Nils Grips and it made all the difference for me. They are imported and somewhat expensive due to the weak dollar but they have a great fit and finish. You can get them stippled or smooth. Gives you a very secure grip and does not bind on your clothing. They are used by a large group of international shooters in competition. Those Hogue grips look very good also.
