I don't do pocket carry, but seriously, try out a close-fitting medium or high-rise pancake OWB; depending on your body type, it should easily and effectively conceal a P-938 even under a loose-fitting tee shirt ... IWB is so easy with this pistol as well, you shouldn't even need to go up the traditional two inches on your pants' waist size ...

I bought a 938 Extreme about 9 months ago and was hoping to love it. So far that hasn't happened. I haven't shot it as much as I should have but I'm having trouble adjusting my grip to such a slim pistol. My accuracy isn't where I want it to be and follow-up shots are slower than with my Sig 239. I find the grips on the Extreme to be, well, extreme. They are far from comfortable and add to the thinness. I've looked at holsters online but didn't find a configuration I was looking for which is OWB, vertical draw, leather. I've never owned or carried a 1911 style pistol so I am still adjusting to having to thumb the safety. I honestly wish Sig offered the 938 in DA/SA. No, the Sig 290 is NOT similar to the 938, it has a more blocky feel to it. I'm very much on the fence with this gun. I bought it right and if I could get my money back I would probably let it go.

If you aren't accustomed to shooting small thin guns or 1911's, I can understand how you might not care for this design. It may not be right for you.

Hogue makes a rubber grip that comes on some P938's from the factory. I think you can pick one up for like $35 roughly. I found that grip more to my liking, but I thought the extreme grip would suffice too. Maybe try the rubber grip before giving up.

I've handled the P290 and hated it.

I bought my p938 when i sent my XDs back for the safety recall they had 3 years ago It's been in the safe 3 years now Carry the little sig p938

I’ve never bought a 938. I’ve long waited for the 938HD with a steel frame which they showed in the catalog for a while but never produced. Failing in that I thought the Extreme is the one I would buy but never did. I do have a 290rs which has steadily grown on me. It never really caught on for many reasons but I do believe it was very under-rated and I regret it was discontinued. I’m a big fan of the P238 in many iterations. Still, though the 238 and 938 seem close in size on paper, with a seven round magazine (aiding in control of the 9mm in a small, light pistol) and the nearly half inch more length, the 938 with 7 round magazine is quite a bit larger than the 238 with a six round magazine. I still look at 938s and will probably buy one one day but if a 938HD would appear, one day would be today. To me, size is more important than weight.

I have a P938sas that I carry daily. It’s a fine pistol and has been trouble free for me. If you buy used, be sure to check for an updated sear spring/magwell and mag release/spring. Earlier versions were updated to fix issues with both items but the bugs should be worked out by now with new stock.

Mine is soft shooting for its size and I find it easy to shoot it accurately. It disappears in a front pocket with a proper holster.
I have a P938 Extreme that has been my EDC for 3+ years. It was an early version so Sig updated it at no cost to me. I pocket carry it in a Desantis Super Fly holster most of the time but occasionally carry it OWB in a Desantis Mini Scabbard.
