Saw in a recent gun mag that the new model of the Sigma (9V whatever) has a sexy new light rail on it.

However, S&W designed it so that no current lights will fit it (according to the magazine).

Is this right? Does anyone have a guess/reason as to why S&W did this?

Sounds not too bright to me, but I'll wait to see if anyone has an explaination.

Thanks,

The Sigma has had a rail for some time; unfortunately, I could not find any light or other accessory that would fit; not sure what size it is, but it will not accept the normal Piccatiny accessories.

It's the euroupean style light rail, you have to get an adapter for it.

Kind of like american apliance plugs and european outlets.

Goofy europeans. :D

Just do a Google search for "weapon light, Sigma"
You'll find a bunch of places.

FYI, the same lights and accesories that fit the Sigma will also fit the FN Forty-Nine.

Thanks for the info guys!

I'm happy to hear that S&W isn't doing something that foolish.

Should know better than believe too much in a gun mag :D

Might have to look into one. Don't need another 9mm but the price is good.

The M-4 is the correct light for the current generation Sigmas. These are difficult to find and usually more expensive than the M-3, M-6, etc. It took a bit of digging but I did manage to locate one at a reasonable price. Good luck.
