I am interested in buying a silencer for the 300 blackout upper on my ar15. Can anyone send me something or tell me the process I have to go through to get this. I know there is a long waiting period and expensive but what's the details on it completely? How does it differ if I order one online or through a store? After I have went through the work and gotten the silencer do I have to go through this process again to order a second silencer? Thanks for the help guys!

Each NFA item (suppressor, short barreled rifle, etc,etc) will require their own application and $200 tax paid.

Even if you order online you will end up going through an instate qualified FFL that deals in NFA items. Much like purchasing a handgun requires an instate transfer.
 
If you get a trust, that makes it easier and safer too. Not an LLC, not an internet trust, not a regular property trust. An NFA trust. Just make sure to find a local attorney familiar with NFA trusts. In WA, I went to NW Gun Law Group. You can have your wife as a trustee too if you want, she will be able to buy and sell items from the trust just like you will, and add and remove beneficiaries (people you don't mind firing your weapon) as you please, and if they are not legal to possess it and get caught, then you don't get in trouble. The trust also eliminates needing the fingerprints, pictures and CLEO signature. Just a great idea all around, I wouldn't get into this without one even if they did away with the signature and other hassles.

As for the suppressor, I'm doing the same build. I went with the AAC SDN6, they did after all design that round and used that suppressor to do it. They claim it is quieter than an MP5SD! So that is the one I'm waiting on right now. Nice thing is I'll be able to use it on several rifles, including an FAL and Grendel, though it will work with the BLK the best I'm positive. Those Blackout flash hider mounts are expensive, but they also WORK. Never seen a flash hider that actually works that well, it lives up to the name "Blackout". Would be worth the price still if it wasn't a mount and you needed a good flash hider or used night vision for whatever reason.

If your local dealer doesn't have one in stock, it'll add a couple months. I learned this getting my M4-2000.

Basically, you fill out the paperwork, take a couple passport pics, get fingerprints done, have Chief of Police/Sheriff sign off on said paperwork, send said paperwork and a $200 check to the ATF and wait till it gets approved and sent back to the dealer, in which the dealer will (normally) call you and tell you your paperwork has cleared and you can pick up your (in your case) suppressor.

For a 2nd suppressor, you'd do this all over again, I think. I've only done it once, so I'm not 100% sure. I've not done the NFA trust thing, so no idea how that one works.
