Hi. I recently purchased some muzzleloader parts including some locks. I was surprised when they showed up in the mail and one is in the white, or silver. Its definitely a Hawken lock and is sort of a matte finish. I'm assuming it's off of a Silver Elite but not sure if there were other models that came in the white. I've heard that TC made some special models but I've never seen any. White Mountain Carbine??? 20201226_185123.jpg 20201226_190502.jpg

TC made the Grey Hawk in stainless, but not sure if the Firestorm caplock came in stainless like the Firestorm flintlock version.

While your lock does appear to be in the white, it doesn't look nearly as bright as the stainless lock on the Grey Hawk.
Both the front and back of the SS Grey Hawk lock appear to be polished brighter even though it's matte stainless.
I don't know if the difference in appearance is due to the angle of the photo or of the flash.
While yours could be stainless it's hard to tell from the photo.

Could the original color case coloring have been removed and the lock just kept in the white? Such as with vinegar?
